How Much Water Does YOUR Body Need Each Day?
by Sarah Davis
When we think about how much water we should be drinking every day, the automatic response is: eight glasses. Drinking eight glasses of water every day has been drilled into our heads, right? But, if you take a minute to think about it, how could it be the exact same amount for someone who weighs 90 pounds and someone who weighs 300 pounds? Or, how big should the glass be? A great way to figure out exactly how much water your specific body should drink each day is to take your weight and divide it by two. This number is the number of ounces of water you should have in a day!
Properly hydrating your body can benefit your skin, your level of energy, and help you to lose weight. Most importantly, it helps to rid your body of waste and toxins. It essentially keeps your body clean and working properly.
Some tips: Keep water with you at all times and you will be surprised at how much more you drink, without really thinking about it. Also, drink a few cups of tea every day. This will hydrate you and you'll trick your mind into thinking that you are drinking something other than water.
